THE IP LAW FIRM MODEL
WHO WE ARE
WHAT WE DO
From the start to the end of the patent application process, we focus on the patent claim - the key to delivering unprecedented power.
We have restructured the traditional law firm billing model to altogether skip billing for paralegal work and skip billing for minor legal tasks because reviewing these line items wastes in-house counsel time.
We take the time to understand your specific goals and help define an intellectual property strategy to meet those goals.
Our experience includes serving the intellectual property needs of a multitude of tech companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to Silicon Valley startups, both from a law firm perspective and an in-house perspective.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION - WALL STREET JOURNAL
Prior to founding Precision IP, Principal Mr. Shah served as the Global Head of Intellectual Property development at Aruba Networks. At Aruba Networks, Mr. Shah took over prosecution of the entire Aruba Networks patent portfolio and drafted claims for all patent applications (specification & figures drafted by in-house patent counsel and outside counsel). The results included obtaining issuance of 40 powerful patents (286% of the preceding year's 14 issued patents) and filing 107 new patent applications (255% of the preceding year's 42 new patent applications). The Wall Street Journal recognized the patent program created by Mr. Shah. Referring to the Telecom & Communications Industry Scorecard published by The Patent Board, WSJ noted: “...Aruba Networks Inc had the largest increase in [patent] rank, 22 spots to now rank 36th due to an increase in both patents and impact.”
